Principal’s Message
Hello Eagle Families!
Welcome back to the 2025–2026 school year at Reedy Creek Elementary – where we’re surviving and thriving during construction! This year, we’re rolling up our sleeves, grabbing our hard hats, and heading into a year full of growth, change, and unstoppable Eagle spirit. I’m incredibly proud of the hard work that’s been done by our faculty, staff, and students, and I can’t wait to see what we build together this year!
Just like any great Survivor season or construction project, our path forward includes challenges, teamwork, and unforgettable milestones. With a shift in student enrollment, Reedy Creek is now a true neighborhood school, serving families from right here in our surrounding community.
And speaking of construction—we’re thrilled to share that work on our brand-new school building is already underway! There have been exciting developments on the site, and it’s been amazing to watch the transformation begin right before our eyes. From foundational groundwork to visible progress across the property, each step brings us closer to a state-of-the-art learning environment that reflects the heart and excellence of our school community.
No matter the size of our school or the dust in the air, our blueprint for success remains steady: high-quality instruction, engaging and rigorous lessons, and joyful activities that support student learning. Our mission is clear – we’re not just surviving, we’re thriving, and we’re aiming to be the top elementary school in Osceola County.
As your principal, I set high expectations for our Eagles – both in and out of the classroom. Whether on campus or in the community, I encourage everyone to give their best effort, take ownership of their learning, and maintain a positive, resilient attitude. I want our students to be curious, courageous, and confident as they tackle each new challenge like true champions.
At Reedy Creek, our construction crew includes everyone – students, staff, and families. We build better together through strong communication, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to safety and excellence. That’s why we invite you to join the team by attending PTO and SAC meetings, volunteering at events, or simply partnering with us throughout the year. We need your voice, your time, and your energy as we move forward, one brick at a time.
We’ll continue our 1-to-1 device initiative this year, so please help us gear up for digital success: keep laptops charged and protected, and remind students of appropriate use. Technology is one of our tools – and just like a hammer or blueprint – it works best when used with care and intention.
We’re also excited to continue our Positive Behavior Intervention Support (P.B.I.S.) program, where students earn Eagle Bucks for positive behavior and team spirit. And through our AVID journey, we’ll keep using WICOR strategies – Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading – to lay a strong foundation for lifelong success.
Our 2025–2026 theme is “Surviving and Thriving During Construction!” Whether we’re navigating schedule changes, shifting classroom spaces, or celebrating exciting construction updates, we’re all in this together – building, surviving, growing, and soaring.
I can’t wait to welcome all our Eagles back to campus and see those smiling faces ready for the challenge! Don’t forget:
We care about you. We love you. We believe in you. At Reedy Creek… We Care!
Grab your gear and get ready – it’s time to Build the Best Year Ever!
Go Eagles! Katie Adams, Principal
